Simple Lunch... looks tasty but taste so so...
I overcooked the noodle so it was extremely soft.
The seafood part was great!!! I found abalones in the freezer!!!
Abalones were so fresh!!!! Next time I will try to use all the fresh seafood for this dish!

Brenda Soul Food is the very first place we ate in SF this time!

Lucky us, the line wasn’t line. The restaurant is trying to expand so right now it looks small and tight. But this restaurant is located at trendy part of S.F.

We didn’t order too much food cuz we got a of places we need to try out this weekend!!!

Overall the food is good but not cheap!

After Brenda we went to a little cupcake place that Robert said it’s GOOD! 2 cupcakes for $5.50… price is very similar to Sprinkles. I took a bit of the mint chocolate cupcake. Sorry Rob. This place isn’t good~ Just typical cupcake stores~

Le Boulangerie & Paulette Macarons

Thanks to Rob. I was able to get some macarons while I was in SF. He did a search and found two most popular macarons place in SF. First one is Le Boulangerie. Very cute little bakery. The macarons looks so huge and tasty!! Price is right too!!! Bought 4 pieces to try it out~~~

Next we head to Paulette. Paulette only sells Macarons. More trendy small store comparing to Le Boulangerie. We do have Paulette place in LA too, but never had a chance to try it out~

Just by looking at all the macarons from two different places, I gotta say Le Boulangerie looks better and bigger. After tasting it both Marvas and I agree that Paulette is much better. To Rob. macarons isn’t his thing..hahaha But we both agree that macarons from Paulette isn’t the best ones we ever had. The best one we had is at downtown LA “Bottega Louie”…

Blue Bottle Coffee

I am not a big coffee fan, but Marvas is. She can drink so many cups of coffee. It’s so funny, she was telling me that each morning she needs few cups of coffee or else she will have headache. She drinks more coffee than milk. Well, blue bottle coffee is one of the most popular coffee place in SF. Oh my god, this coffee stand is located in a garage. The store front is not facing a street, instead it’s facing a little alley. Who cares about where this place is located, cuz there is a line!!!! Marvas ordered a coffee for me... errr I gotta say it’s so strong!!!!! I don’t like it at all the whole cup taste like COFFEE!!! GROSS~ But all their 1/2lb bag coffee beans smells so freaking good!!!!

I gotta say this is one place I really really wanna try out this time in SF. I heard so much about this place!!! And yes, on a Friday afternoon, there is a line waiting to be seated. Can’t believe it, everywhere we went there is a long line for it! Well, u know where there is a line for food, that place must taste good!

We didn’t order too much food cuz we are going to Suppenkuche German Restaurant for dinner pretty soon. I only ordered Clam Chowder soup & half dozen oysters. The clam chowder here is very soupy unlike the one you tried anywhere else thick and creamy. The clam inside my soup was very fresh. Overall I didn’t really like there clam chowder. Oysters, oysters, oysters… 3 big ones and 3 little ones… they are different types of oysters… I forgot their names but who cares cuz they are taste really crazy good! It was so cold and juice I wish I can order another dozen or more… Alrite, off we go… next is the Suppenkuche

Robert said this place is very famous for their boot size drinks! Yes, boot size drinks!!! I don’t drink but I am so glad everyone else in my group is… Marvas ordered a 0.3 liter size beer, Hung, Ryan, & Ray all ordered 0.5 liter, Robert ordered 1 liter beer, and Sarah & Jeff ordered 2 liter beer. I was able to take photos of the beers in different sizes. Oh, I forgot myself… I ordered a coke~

This little restaurant is so crowded, I am so glad Rob made reservation in advance! Even with reservation we waited for another 30-45 mins. But the wait is worth it!!!! Everyone had a wonderful time drinking there beer, eating German food and chatting. Whenever I think about German food I thought about PORK FEET, but nope they don’t serve Pork Feet here. Almost everyone ordered different dishes and I was able to take pix on most of the dishes. =P I gotta say, they all looks so good!!! Most of the dishes are PORK…I love pork. But due to my health condition, I am staying away from meat again. I only order potato pancake which Rob told me it’s very famous over here.

The food taste really good! The breaded pork chop that Rob. ordered taste better than Japanese Pokr katsu. Portion is just alrite I think I can easily finished it myself, but maybe cuz I love pork!

Amazingly Sarah finished her 2 liter boot beer drink way before Jeff!!! Appearly Sarah only weights 100lbs!!!!

After check in I asked the bell desk lady to see what's good to eat around Victoria. hahahaha I totally didn't do any planning. The lady recommended few places but for some reason I was in the mood of Italian food!!! Small restaurant, but filled with people!!! All the seats are so close together! A lady knew everyone is very cold waiting in line so she offered people a glass of hot red wine...hehehehe I didn't take any. I totally forgot what we ordered that night. Waitress recommended us a dish and we picked another pasta our self... errr whatever she told us to order was kinda weird... Sweet and salty.... After a few bites you will be full. But the dish we picked our self was extremely good!!! Fresh seafood on the top with just enough sauce yum yum~~~
Salad was fine, bread was great!!! There was live Jazz music too!! so fun!!!!
Oh that night the youngest guest was baby Lincoln, he was only a week old from Seattle!!!
One thing I noticed was that no one in this restaurant... Too expensive or there is no rice serve here ??? Anyways, I would totally come back here again!

Spend 3 days @ Victoria Island. This place is extremely PRETTY!!!
Feels like I am back in London! People around the area are mainly Tourists!
Most of the building looks like big Castle!!! All the cool building are within walking distance~
I didn't have to use the Bus... walk walk walk for me!
Next time I will book my hotel @ the Empress Hotel... I heard it's extremely pretty inside!

Dynasty Chinese Rest.
A Taiwanese lady introuduce us to this tasty rest. Overall price of the foods are good & tasty!!!
It's very similar to Din Tai Fung Dumpling House. Trendy looking rest. So many people waiting in line. Since this was our X'mas meal, we order more than we can eat...
Dumplings & tofu was good! The soup was too spicy... Next time when I come back to Richmond, I will come back here again!

While taking pictures of all the X'mas trees I noticed a lot of the ornaments are either pretty, cool, interesting, errr, ugly, funny.... All the ornaments for sale are not cheap at all! Most of the ornaments are still made of Glass still. They are pretty but dangerous if you have kids or pets around. enjoy the photos~

Met up with Marvas for dinner tonight~
we decided to met half way so I suggested Brea. Checking out Restaurant.com I picked Octopus Japanese Fusion Restaurant. This rest. is the same as Tomikawa @ Irvine. Well, food quality at Tomikawa is horrible now but not Octopus. I never been here so it's good to try it out~~
I showed up around 5:30pm so it was pretty empty. But by the time we started eating the rest. was full. People were waiting in line too!!!! I guess that is a good sign!

This rest. is located at downtown Brea... Korean own/run Japanese food.

Interior is really fancy... All the services are great too!

Server came with with a plate of sauces... no idea what they are but they all taste pretty good~

At Tomikawa they didn't have this.

Yellowtail Roll $4.50 & Salmon Roll $3.95

Price isn't bad and the food is good too!

California Roll $3.95 I love their California Roll cuz it's made of REAL crab meats!!! It is so good!!!

Spider Roll $9.95 Tasty too!!! Fried Crab... tasty!

Miso Egg Plant $5.95... Pricy for this dish but it's pretty good!

Oh... we also ordered Tuna Roll and Clam miso soup but I forgot to take pix of them... hehehe

Never a fan of Korean run Sushi place but I gotta say Octopus is pretty good!!!!

My little X'mas Tree...
Still the fake ones... For some reason I am not into the real X'mas trees...
Well, I got my tree @ Walmart this year. It was CHEAP! $20 dollar for a 6' fake tree!
The box was so small and light that I was able to do all the carrying myself!

Little box but full of holiday spirit!

See that one little branch on the very top... that thing made this tree 6' otherwise that tree might be as tall as me... PS I am 5'x"...wahahahaha (LIED)

Opend up all the branches... Pretty nice tree for $20.

It was really to put it together too... I did it myself, only too me 15 mins and I didn't read the intruction!!! I guess I am just SMART~ =P

Box of Shatterproof ornaments~~~ 50 of them for $15. (Not cheap~)

Buying a box of ornaments is a great idea for me... no need to worry about if they match or not~

Director Wu was here over the weekend. He was the guest speaker for the Taiwan Center Annual Event. His speech was wonderful!!! Everyone had a great time listening to it!!! over 50 mins of laughing!! I was lucky, able to few shots with him~

Wowow this weekend I did so many new things... try out new restaurants went to new hike!!! Thanks to Catherine, we were able to do so many things this weekend! On 10-09-10 we started off with 5 miles Hollywood Sign Hike... After the hike we went to Kushi Shabu Shabu... Party is on going the next day... 10-10-10 we went to Beer Station @ Rowland Heights for more food!!! What a fun weekend!!!

Been here many years ago... decided to come back here with Marvas and Karen...
overall the service is WONDERFUL, & food was great. A great place to get togher with friends...
Every 2nd & 4th Sat. they got live music!!! Every 2nd & 4th Fri. they got live Flamingo dance!!!
Gotta come back here for the Flamingo dance!!!

This place is pretty famous for their TAPAS... Each tapas is place on a piece of bread... It's pretty cheap $1.75 You can pick the one you want...Every thing looks pretty good! Marvas was saying that in Spain you just need to pay for your drink and TAPAS is on the house. Man, I should move to Spain!

First time trying out this restaurant… Not a big fan of wonton or dumpling.

It's a little expensive compared to the dirty cheap prices of most San Gabriel restaurants but it's definitely worth it.

This place is Organic no MSG, great taste and quality.

To me the portion is small comparing to other wonton place.

After trying this place I realized that wonton & dumpling are very good!!!

Will be back!!! Now I found another new restaurant to eat around San Gabriel area!

Wonton soup & noodles $6.50... (Marvas ordered egg noodles, there are several kinds of noodles you can pick!)

Wontons are big and juicy!!! It has shrimps inside!

Wonton & Dumpling $6.50... Dumpling skin is not the typical white skin it's the wonton skin... thin and soft!!!

I heard Yojie serves nice Shabu Shabu... I love Shabu so gotta try this place since I am at Downtown LA today!!! It's right next to the FIDM. This place is really empty during lunch time but the service is EXCELLENT! Our server is so small, & cute! Even I will fall in love with her!

Overall, it's a nice fancy place for lunch around downtown LA.

Been to Wakasa once... Always wanna tried their super bowl...
They said this can is good for 6 adults...
mmn... ya this thing totally can feed over 6 adults cuz it's mainly RICE RICE RICE!!!
If I recall correctly it's around $50 for this big bowl...
Overall it's not worth it... the fish isn't fresh fresh too!!!!
but the last time I was there it was very tasty~~~ >,<

Take a look at the lobsters… Yum so red and yummy~~~ The lobster head is so tasty!!! Believe it or not, the head has meat in it too… Coming back from the event I noticed that maybe one lobster isn’t enough. Next time I am getting two lobsters! I always wanna go the lobster festival… This year I was very lucky to have Jenny and Marvas with me to the lobster festival. Yes, the lobsters are a bit expensive but they are extremely fresh and juicy! The lobsters are shipped from plane daily…

My newest gift… Toyota Matrix aka Little Black.

Finally my Camry is asking $$$ from me so it’s time for me to donate to others. Sorry I can’t spend any dime on you "Camry". Well, thanks to my cousin, I am able to get her old/new car for free! MATRIX!!! Good things about this car is that it’s small and save gas! Bad part is that It doesn’t run that fast… Most of the time when I drive around I gotta say Little Black Add Oil… Add Oil..hahaha I been really nice to the car now… I took him to Yosemite, Camarillo, Vegas, etc… I take him to car wash, unlike my old car… One wash a year..hahaha I took him to Toyota dealer for oil change… Feed him the best oil… Hopefully he won’t die on me! Cross my fingers… I am not good with electronics.. I even bought a brand new GPS to match with the car!!! Very good GPS oh!!! Garmin 855… So much function included inside. I will try to read the manual soon so I know how all the functions work… but you know girls, we don’t know how to read the manual…

Sept. 04, 2010 Dodger Taiwan Night...
I was one of the dancer... can you guess which one is me... hahaha I am sure it's super easy... I am the shortest one... Everyone of us practiced really really hard for this wonderful performance. Personally I was the slacker... I practiced really hard the day of the dance. Everything turns out wonderful... I didn't forgot any steps... I am so proud of myself!!!!

Two cutest dog @ Yosemite National Park!!! The adult dog is Prince and the puppy is Miss Maddie. They are super super friendly and cute! I am so in love with Maddie! She is so playful! I wish I can take her home but of course that is just a WISH!

The very famous box... BEAR BIN... all the foods, lotions, etc that has a smell need to be placed in here. Bear can't open this Bin... At night I did hear bear trying to open the BIN. It was SCARY!

See we are good... we stored all our good inside!!! Yes, BEER too... can't let bears get into Jenny & John's H2O supply... All the junk food you see in there are mine... Sorry can't live without junk food!

Camping food provided by John & Cathiner... Man, this little bags make wonderful dinner! Maybe I should be this and feed it to my families in the future!!! So easy... Just add 2-4 cups of hot water... Wait 10 mins and your dinner is ready!

Beef Stew... I love beef stew!!!! Pix of the food before I add any hot water....

During the hike the only thing made me kept walking is the BEEF STEW!!!

Went to Arcadia for dinner tonight and saw this cool store full of toy grabbing machines. Each try is $1.00 seems expensive but all the toys are very cute! They even have machines where you grab it IPad, LV purse, or Giant Hello Kitty. You might think it’s easy but it’s TOTALLY NOT! The bear I have on my hand, it only cost me $1.00. Yup! $1.00!!! Of course I didn’t win the toy myself, it’s with a friend’s wonderful help! Next time we shall go for the IPad!

I heard about this restaurant from other’s website. Machi Fusion is also known as the Good Time Deli, the same owner opened this place up. I don’t like the furniture, their furniture looks like leftover pieces from IKEA. The seats are very uncomfortable, basic wooden benches with no padding whatsoever~ The service was extremely fast.

This place is not cheap at all but the food is decent. If you want Taiwanese food, here is a nice place to try. Last night 4 of us came here for dinner we spend $105 on it. Thank god mom paid for it..hehehe My photos are horrible this time, I think it’s time for me to buy a new camera~~~

Taiwanese Cabbage Soup $20 – Soup full of veggies & chicken. It’s really taste, but my mom makes it better

Black Beans With Oysters $13 – This dish is not bad… I can eat a whole bowl of rice with the sauce!

Sweet Sauce Pork Chop – Everyone loved this dish!!! Mom said it taste very much like Taiwan!

Satay 3 items $13 – this one not bad… inside there is chicken, intestine, and calamari

Taiwanese Melons Cooks in Crab Meat Sauce – They didn’t cook the melons long enough to be soft. The crab sauce is really nice tho. I ate most of my rice with the sauce!!! Yum~

Pan Fried Milk Fish $7 – I can do this too~~~~ Don’t order this in the future, just come over to my house and I can do it for you!

This place has been in town for a long long time, but I never enjoy eating Thai food so never wanna try here. A friend took me here to try the GOOD Thai food. Thai food that’s not the typical Pad Thai or Tom Yum Soup. We ordered Garlic Pork Pot Rice, Spicy Beef Thai Noodles, Mango Sticky Rice, and black Thai Tea. Overall the restaurant is great place for get together!

This rest. used to be Sam Woo... Big restaurant but it was not full on Friday night. I guess business isn't as good as before~

Black Thai Tea...never know you can order Thai Tea without milk!!! It's so good! I can't drink milk so this is perfect for me! It does taste a little like ice tea from Taiwan.

Garlic Pork Pot Rice – Super good!!! Smell of fried garlic with pork oil…yum~ Extremely oil dish but the flavor is so tasty. I had some leftover I ate it for next morning’s breakfast~

Spicy Beef Thai Noodle - This is not spicy at all. I think Pho taste better~ For some reason it smells like Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup but taste totally different~

Mango Sticky Rice - I seen people order this so wanna try it out myself. Mmn, it's kinda weird. The white sauce is kinda salty. The mango is really sweet and soft.

It was Sunil’s birthday last month… It’s impossible to get together til last night. Well, not sure what Sunil like but Hong and I decided to have Shabu Shabu and Korean BBQ for dinner~ Dinner looks simple but we did put our love into it. Hahahaha All the food are display so nicely on the plates~~~

We bought veggies, seafood, tofu, soup base, and meats! Man, the dinner was super good!!! Since there is only 3 of us, we couldn’t finish all the food at all~Oh… not only we got Shabu Shabu, Korean BBQ we even have Dynamite bake mussels. Dinner was great!!! The best part is that we got leftover for lunch today and tomorrow~~~

All these food for 3 people... impossible to finish!

Okie, here are photos that Jolie took... Within 2 weeks we went to two Korean All You Can Eat BBQ . Both of them are good... Come on for $20 can't complain!!!! I love the side dish and squid from Rest. 1... but Rest 2 has better quality meat & kimchi fried rice~

Found this restaurant by accident. My intern and I went out for a site visit one day and decided to eat something before heading back to the office. With the help of her internet phone & yelp.com we came here. This restaurant is located at a typical strip mall with typical exterior. Inside is pretty fancy tho. (Srprised~) I just ordered a Veggie Pad Thai and my intern ordered ginger chicken or something. Both meals came with soup or salad… soup soup please~ The soup looked kinda spicy and gross when the waitress brought it over to me. I didn’t wanna try it til my intern said it’s pretty good and it’s not spicy. Yup, she was right…it’s GOOD!

Went to the Fullerton Audubon with friends few weeks ago. Never have the time to post the photos online. oops~ By accident I deleted most of the photos I took that day too.. stupid me. Here is the only photo I got left for that day. Tricia, my high school friend is next to me. =) We know each other for over 14 yrs... We still look the same as before! *_*~~
Overall Fullerton Audubon isn't fun. I guess lack of $$$ so most of the plants are either dry up or dead. A lot of work is needed to make this place pretty~

The cost of this hair cut is... PRICELESS!

Hong did the cut for me... I had to sit on a lundry bucket for over 2 hrs.

After the first cut I was SHOCKED or TRAUMATIZED...she cut over 6 inches of my hair off. I was trying to grow my hair out so I can donate it. Oh well...next time! Beside my hair was in a horrible condition anyways~

I was amazed to see one at Leg's Ave Office.
I guess the family has too much $$$ so placed a Ducati in the house isn't that much! The owner even owns a Rolls Royces.

The REAL Little Sheep hot pot in California!
hahaha I got no idea there are fake ones.
I guess everything from China has FAKE & Semi FAKE ones.
Overall the service was great!!!! As for food, I like it very much! Everything taste fresh & intersting.

Restaurant is located in a very ghetto area of San Diego.
We came in around 5:45pm on Sat. luckily we didn't need to wait in line.
But the rest. was packed by the time we were done eating~

We ordered the mix pot. One side original and one side spicy~
It's not spicy at all~~~ I love both soup base~

They put over 30 ingredients just to cook the soup base.
Overall the soup is good but salty.

An order of pork... So many slices of beef, looks like a lof of food but really each slice is so thin I can finish a plate myself.

Combo plate, half beef and half lamb. Lamb was good, not stink smell at all~

Combo mushroom... this plate is liek $10 dollars EXPENSIVE~

There are so many different types of bath in here...
Bath House, Roman Bath, Mineral Baths, Lounge Pool, Terrance Pool, Saline Pool, Vista Pool, Lap Pool, Dry Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi, and Grotto.

I went on a regaular Monday, believe it or not, so many people having a wonderful relax time at the SPA

Lap Pool... Hong can't swim so we didn't try any of the swimming pool.

"Club Mud" - Southern California's only red clay mineral mud bath.

I heard that red clay is able to softens skin as it draws out impurities.

A lady told us that once the red clay is dry up on my body run it off with a towel.

I didn't rubb is off with a towel, I just rubbed it off with my hands man it hurts~

I also went to the Grotto where its underground in a cave. Grotto is a full body moisturizing masque in a cave-like environment. Usually it's $25 dollars per person but since the day I went was raining, Grotta was on sale for $15. SWEET deal. I was there over 5 hrs. with Hong. We had a wonderful time~ We can't wait to go back there again~

It is really odd tho, Japanese pizza store open in a Chinese community.

My intern took me here for lunch today. From yelp it has over 60 reviews which made me totally wanna try here!As we enter the restaurant the lady didn’t speak a word of ENGLISH. The menu are under the glass panel on the table…everything was in Vietnamese, not a single word of English… HORROR Thank god my intern. understand Vietnamese. She was able to order food for us.

Well, I ordered Bun bo Hue (#2 on the menus) Bun bo Hue is the spicy pork soup which was super good! The soup is loaded with beef, coagulated pig's blood, pig's feet pork cakes, and topped with onions, cilantro, and scallions. On the side they also gave me a plate of bean sprouts, lettuce, herbs, banana flower/blossom, and a couple wedges of lime.

Anyway, on with the Banh Beo and Banh Nam #11 & 13...it was quite delicious! Fresh, soft, warm, just steamed to perfection; the texture is fluffy, not too hard nor too soft to where it breaks apart; the dried shrimp pieces on top of the Banh Beo added a chewy texture which complimented the steamed cake, and once it gets dipped into the non-fishy fish sauce~

The portions are so big I couldn’t even finish half and I am super full. This place is really cheap and tasty.

Alice, my elementary school buddy took me to Hot Stuff Café for lunch today. It’s really good to see her again! Thanks to her, now I know another new place to eat around San Gabriel area. I never know where to eat while I am around that area. I recalled when I was in college I love to go to Hot Stuff Café but for some reason it was closed down. Hot Stuff Café server Taiwanese night market steak~~ I heard from Alice that the original owner decided to close down but recently the owner’s kids decided to reopen it at a new location with new flavors.

I ordered Top Sirloin Steak $12 which came with soup and bread. Both soup and bread isn’t bad~ My steak came out SMALL… Alice ordered the same thing but for some reason her steak looks much bigger! The black pepper sauce was pretty good!!!

Overall this place is so different compared to the typical Hong Kong style café. Small restaurant with friendly service. The steak is tasty but I think Lone Star is much much much better~~~Mmn… I think it’s time visit Lone Star Steak House~~~

I gotta say taste very very good! I am very impressed with my own cooking now.. wahahaha Everything was from the package, all I did was just follow the instruction in the back. I added intestine that I bough from Sam Woo. YUM~~~ I guess next time I can make this dish to share with friends~

Finally I am back at Fukada~
This place is sooooo good!
As usual I ordered my favorite udon with Japanese wild veggie & spicy tuna don (rice). Toan ordered seafood salad and crunchy roll. As for Hong she ordered tonkitsu don.
I borrowed this camera from a friend...horrible Sony camera. Most of the photos are dark and blurry.
As for dessert Toan ordered fried ice cream~~~ I love fried ice cream but fukada makes it nasty~~~ Not good at all. I miss how my aunt/uncle makes it for me. I miss my uncle's sushi restaurant in Maryland.

West Coast Seafood Buffet

Went to West Coast Seafood Buffet at Hacienda Heights for dinner.
I heard tons of horro stories about this buffet, not that I wanna test my tummy out. The reason why I went there tonight is cuz I got $50 gift cert. Mom won this gift cert from some event. We are not a big fan of Buffet plus it's all the way up in Hacienda Heights... We been trying to give the gift cert. away but everyone we asked they simply reply errr WEST COAST, horrible food that can get you food poision! Hot foods are too salty, anything they can add water is too water down, and seafood are not fresh. Since the gift cert. will expire coming Monday I decided to take a risk of trying it out myself. ERRRR everyone was right, that place is over priced with horrible food! Todai is much much much better plus you won't have the fear of FOOD POISION!

The buffet is full of food everything looks interesting~~~ Since I read ALL the posts on YELP.COM I know what to eat and what not to eat. First I went for the hot food. The name tag next to the food are mostly WRONG~ So I just take the food that looks more tasty for me. I took a few bite of my hot food, mmn they are not hot. Did they forget to turn on the heat lamp or the food has been sitting there since lunch time??? No my friend mentioned to me that the food tasted like they been sitting there since yesterday. GROSS~~~ Next I went for the raw section (Sushi...) The raw fish has a funcky taste!!!! The rice they used are not sushi rice!!! GROSS~ The cooked rolls are not bad~ The crazy part is that the Sushi chef was on his cell phone yellowing while making sushi. >,< Lord~~ I never seen this before~ Soup is the next item I got... There are 4 different kinds of soups, I got three of them. GROSS, no need to describe in detail... simply GROSS. Oh, at 7pm the rest. were serving 1/2 of lobster per person. Mmn, I never seen lobster meat that's gray looking. The chef even tried to cover the gray meat by adding sauce on top of the meat. I think they bough lobsters that are DEAD! Nasty~ Double Nasty~ They did came out UNI SUSHI, not fresh at all. After one uni sushi I didn't even bother to get more. The dessert soup are very very water down and gross too! Even the ice cream is water down. While eating there I felt my skin was all itchy~ Good part about this place is that, the service is pretty good. They take away the plate as soon as I went for my next plate of nasty food. They didn't even question me about all the left over food. There are signs all over the rest. saying please do not waste food... blah...blah...blah... Man, if the quality of the food is good I don't think anyone would wanna waste the food!

Oh, gotta mention it cost $19 per person at dinner time. OVER PRICED!!! I rather go TODAI where I paid $40 dollars for a really good decent seafood buffet! TODAI has much much better sushi, lobster!!!!

I really wanna know where does WEST COAST BUFFET orders their products, cuz it's HORRIBLE!!! Quality of people who goes there are horrible too~ SAD~~~ I hope this place close down SOON, VERY SOON~

Love the takoyaki, so hot & fresh...it just melts in your mouth and bursts with flavor.
I also like the squid balls a lot. So much flavor to it!!!
Freshly made imagawayaki (Red Bean Sandwich) - not overly crispy pancake with hot azuki bean center. The price isn't bad for 2 imagawayaki, 1 shrimp ball, and 1 takoyaki...$6.50 Great afternoon snack~

Wakasa Dinner

Wakasa is a new restaurant in Little Tokyo. There are so many chain stores within Japan but here is the only store in USA. Of course I gotta try it out!!! I came around noon time and it was full of people waiting in line so I decided to eat here for dinner. I didn't know they are close at 9:30pm... when I show up at the restaurant it's already 9:15pm. They were very nice letting me in. I didn't really know what to order to I just order the Wakasa dinner for TWO. It has everything, I think this is way way way too much food for two people. I really like the food here!!! I will be back!

Thanks for Target, I am able to visit the Japanese museum for FREE! I been to California for over 20 years but never been inside this museum. Sadly no photo at all inside the museum. This museum talks about how the first and second generation Japanese lived in California. The first & second generation went throught the War. The museum is very neat but small~

The museum was offering kids free cupcakes... Lucky me, they offered me the cupcake too!

After LACMA I noticed that The Grove and the Farmer’s Market is only few miles away. Drove by hoping I can pick up some yummy dinner. Sadly, the Farmer’s Market is closed by 7pm on Sunday. I walked around Grove but most of the stores are closing. I guess going to the GROVE around 8:30pm on Sunday is considered too late. I’ll come early next time~ I been here so many times but not sure if I ever post photos online.

The Grove is pretty famous for the water fountain... I took the photos late at night they are not as pretty as day times. I think this place is cool, plus they got Cheese Cake Factory here too!!! YUM~

I heard about this museum of art but never been inside. Thanks for Bank of America I am able to visit this cool museum for free first Sat/Sun of every month for 2010. I guess if you come in after 5pm the museum is free anyways~ Well, I couldn’t take a lot of photos cuz 1. Some section doesn’t allow photos 2. 80% of 3^rd & 4^th floors are under construction. I guess since it’s free I shouldn’t complain about it right? ^_^~

In the 2^nd floor I saw whole section of Pablo Picasso’s work. I am sure everyone knows who Pablo Picasso. If not, here is a link about this famous artist! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Picasso

I am glad I don’t need to fly to Spain to see Picasso’s painting! I am glad I came here today~~~ I guess the second floor is the where they display the modern art. Some of the art works makes me feel that… I can do it too! Mmn… maybe I should have majored in Art instead of Urban Regional Planning. Oh, there are tons of security guards around the 2^nd floor. One lady security guard seems to like me to death, she follows me everywhere I go. (I had camera on my neck, and no photos on the 2^nd floor)

3^rd floor are European Art, painting like I see in my Art History textbook. Most drawings are GOD. Jesus, or something related to Churches. To me it’s not really interesting… I had to memorized too many of them during Art History classes.

4^thfloor is where they display special exhibition works, again no photos. On the 4^th floor they also display some Asian work of art! Most of the artworks are from South Asia; Elephant God, God with 1,000 hands, God with 4 heads, etc… I am amazed on how much art pieces they took from Thailand… Hopefully Thailand still have some antique artwork at their own country now!

Cool museum but if I really have to pay for it to get it…I’ll think about it~

The Autry National Center, if I recalled correctly I been here when I was in elementary school. The school took us to Autry museum for a fieldtrip in 4^th grade where we learned about CALIFORNIA. This is a really small museum but thanks to Bank of America I can come here for FREE! I love free deals! This museum is full of how Cali looks like long long long time ago. There are so many displays of Cowboy things. I am not a big fan of cowboys so I think this place is so so. The best part I like about this museum is where they have a little section of the very first Chinese people from China. The museum have so many Chinese looking clothes for kids to dress up and take photos. That was fun! I dress myself up and took some photos… wahahaha the way I sat and the photo taken I felt like my great grandma. SCARY~

I always thought I never been to Huntington Library but I was wrong...
The moment I saw the ticket counters and gift shop I realized I been to this place when I was really little.
Well, this year I want to do some meaningful events where I will try check out at least one museum a month. This month I came to Huntington Library.
Very nice library, full with books, art paintings. Not only they are famous for books and painting, they are also famous for GARDENS!!!!
I didn't find the library part to be any fun... But I loved there garden!!!

The Huntington is situated on 207 acres in San Marino, California. In addition to the library and art galleries, 120 acres are maintained as botanical gardens for public enjoyment.

The main reason why I wanna go to Huntington Library is Chinese Garden.
I heard they even hired people from China to complete the work!
Amazing~~~ I guess China labor is much cheaper than people in USA.

A lot of movies were filmed here~~~ walking around the garden makes me feel like walking around palace in China.

Sadly I didn't bring any snack... I was so hungry... I barely would walk.
Next time I will bring tons of food so I can picnic around this pretty garden!

Seafood Fest~

I love oysters... Hong loves oysters... 2 dozen is never enough when we visit the Boiling Crabs. Well, Toan mentioned to us that we can go to the Boiling Crab and buy 100 unshocked oysters for $50. Sweet Deal!!! Normally @ the restaurant it's $14 for 1 dozen... We ordered a BOX of oysters and 3 live crabs. While the boys are opening up the oysters Hong was busy cooking the crabs. 2 steamed and 1 satue... Man, the Satue one was super super good! I wish I asked Hong to Satue all 3 crabs...

Oh, I totally forgot about my BBQ Piegons... They are good too but no one dare to eat it except me! YUM~ Wish we can eat like this every weekend~ Mmn, what kinda fest should we have next weekend?

Went to Mitsuwa supermarket this early morning! Mom must go to Mitsuwa Jan. 1st of every year cuz they would give out free gift to the first 100 customers. This year its the year of Tiger to Mitsuwa gave us Tiger deocration. Super cute!!! Along with the free gift I bought two mystery bags!!! Its $20 each bag but the gifts inside worth way more than $20 dollar! Take a look at all the gifts I got from the two bags! Amazing happy~ Best part about it is that everything is made in JAPAN too!!!! I gotta show off to others who missed out the chance~ I will be back again next year! Happy New Year!

大家的跨年夜是怎麼度過的？我呢？還是選擇在家裡度過。不過當看到好友要去看日出時，實在也好心動，可是..........厚～我可能爬得起來？靈機一動，看日出何必出門？明天一早如果天氣好的話，躺在家裡就可以看日出啦～清晨6點多就自動醒了，望望窗外還只是一片灰濛濛的!

Red Rock Canyon

I saw people climbing the rocks and hiking... As for me, photos photos photos..okie next stop... It's too cold ~~

Not all the rock around the area are RED. So it's pretty cool to see some red and some not red rocks~

Able to see snow on the mountain~

Red Rock Canyon is very close by Las Vegas~~~ since I went to Vegas 4 days this time, I decided to do something other than gamble. Red Rock is an area of world wide geologic interest and beauty. 15 miles away from Red Rock Canyon is all the Casinos, which super tall buildings, all you can eat buffet, man-made everything. Here you get the see extremely red looking rock!!! Good part about here is that visitors can do some hiking and camping~ The weather is extremely cool the date I went so no hiking for me, but I will go back again during summer time and explore it again! It's really cheap to get in too, only $5!!! Good deal!!! Once you enter into the Canyon there is a 13 miles scenic drive... you can stop at any point to take photos or check out. The road is one way street so there is no way anyone can be lost!!!! I had a wonderful time here!!! After coming here I realized that I should do more outdoor traveling since I am still young~~~ ^__^~ I am trying to plan out which national park I should go next month!!! My goal is to go to at least one national park per month!!! Hopefully I can do it!!!

I saw an amazing thing this time is that, a Korean family took their own stove, and cook HOT SPICY instant noodles at the picnic... That was so COOL!!! In cold day eating hot spicy instant noodles, I love it! I wanna do that next time too! Me and my Japanese instant Noodle!
