Mission 261

Mission 261... pretty popular Dim Sum & Banquet place for Chinese people nowadays...
Mom's favorite Dim Sum place... Food quality is good and service is good too!

Exterior

Tons of wine... most of them have signature on the bottles too!!!!
Famous people from China... But since there are so many people in China...it's nothing special~~

Whole duck $12.95 on weekends but it's only $9.95 Mon. - Fri.

not sure what is this but it's intestine of an animal.. taste good...

this is good too!

BBQ Buns... my favorite!
They even offer 20% dim sum on weekdays!

Green Zone

First time trying out this restaurant… Not a big fan of wonton or dumpling.

It's a little expensive compared to the dirty cheap prices of most San Gabriel restaurants but it's definitely worth it.

This place is Organic no MSG, great taste and quality.

To me the portion is small comparing to other wonton place.

After trying this place I realized that wonton & dumpling are very good!!!

Will be back!!! Now I found another new restaurant to eat around San Gabriel area!

Wonton soup & noodles $6.50... (Marvas ordered egg noodles, there are several kinds of noodles you can pick!)

Wontons are big and juicy!!! It has shrimps inside!

Wonton & Dumpling $6.50... Dumpling skin is not the typical white skin it's the wonton skin... thin and soft!!!

Mangolian Hot Pot & Grill

The REAL Little Sheep hot pot in California!
hahaha I got no idea there are fake ones.
I guess everything from China has FAKE & Semi FAKE ones.
Overall the service was great!!!! As for food, I like it very much! Everything taste fresh & intersting.

Restaurant is located in a very ghetto area of San Diego.
We came in around 5:45pm on Sat. luckily we didn't need to wait in line.
But the rest. was packed by the time we were done eating~

We ordered the mix pot. One side original and one side spicy~
It's not spicy at all~~~ I love both soup base~

They put over 30 ingredients just to cook the soup base.
Overall the soup is good but salty.

An order of pork... So many slices of beef, looks like a lof of food but really each slice is so thin I can finish a plate myself.

Combo plate, half beef and half lamb. Lamb was good, not stink smell at all~

Combo mushroom... this plate is liek $10 dollars EXPENSIVE~

Squid balls or something. Taste so so
Frozen tofu~

plate of veggies is like $9 and frozen taro

Chong King Chinese Restaurant

I don’t know what to say about this restaurant… I heard a lot of good reviews about it but after I tried it myself I thinking I don't really wanna come here in the future. The food wasn’t good good. With that price I think Nice Time Deli or Chief Chen (next door) is 100% better. Chong King Chinese Restaurant is new to the Jeffrey Plaza. I heard from others that this place is really spicy and tasty! Every time I am at this plaza this restaurant is packed with people inside & out. Since its just Hong and I here for a light dinner we only order 3 appetizers and 1 entrée. The appetizers are all looks red and spicy but it’s not spicy at all. As for the entree, pork stir fry with bamboo it’s not good at all. The bamboo has a smell and sour taste to it. Oh, but I heard their spicy lamb soup is good…maybe I will go there and try if any of my friends wanna try it with me.
Grand Opening!
Interior looks like typical cheap Chinese food restaurant.
3 Appetizers... Looks spicy but it's not at all. The only good one is the spicy pig ear in the middle. Others so so.
Pork Stir Fry with Bamboo. The Bamboo taste weird... Didn't like it that much~
